Moistcr1tikal’s esports organization ‘Moist Esports’ enters Apex Competitive Legends

Popular Content Creator Charles “Moistcr1tikal” White Jr.’s esports organization ‘Moist Esports’ has officially signed Team Burger. The Australian free agent team made waves this year at the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) Championship. The team reached the Split Two playoffs despite being a free agent team and they qualified for the World Championship, where they finished in 17th place. The team will now represent Moist Esports in the 2023 ALGS Circuit.

Australia’s free agent team has finally found a home

The Burger team received a lot of fan support thanks to the players’ rock-solid performances at LAN Stockholm earlier this year. The Burger team finished in 9th place, beating many of the bigger, more established teams. Matthew “Emmea” Trengrove, Ben “Wxltzy” Walton and Joshua “Jaro” Green qualified for the world championships and garnered a lot of attention on the Asia-South Pacific circuit, which was vastly underrated until this year’s LAN events.

Team Burger’s popularity skyrocketed at LAN events that year, and a fan group was formed called “The Burger Brigade”. Apex Legends fans have supported the free agent team by creating custom merchandise for the team, including official jerseys.

The Apex Legends community has been very supportive of its creators and esports players over the years. Prior to the World Championship, the community helped a number of teams pay for travel and accommodation costs for the LAN event after EA initially stated that it would not cover expenses for all teams .

Moist Esports was launched as Moistcr1tikal’s foray into esports. The organization entered the fighting game community (FGC) with teams in Guilty Gear Strive, Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The team has branched out into Rocket League and is now part of Apex Legends.

Moist Esports will make its Apex Legends debut in Year 3 of the Apex Legends Global Series, which is expected to begin in the coming months. Just like last year, there will be two divisions leading up to the International LAN Events, Last Chance Qualifiers and the World Championship. Following the signing of Team Burger, many fans have asked Moist Esports to sign a CS:GO team but Moistcr1tikal has yet to show interest.
